The 21st International Rolling Stock Conference Dresden took place from 4 to 6 March 2026 at the International Congress Center Dresden. The event brought together developers, manufacturers and users of rolling stock, as well as companies from the rolling stock supply industry.
On the first day, the focus was on plenary presentations covering fundamental aspects of the development, manufacture and operation of rail vehicles, as well as regional, national and international economic and transport policy. Over the following two days, the conference was divided into various sections, each with different thematic focuses within the individual sessions. The three conference sections were: ‘Road/Rail and their Interaction’, ‘Development of Rail Vehicles and their Components’ with two parallel tracks, and ‘Manufacture and Maintenance of Rail Vehicles’.
The conference thus once again provided an important platform for professional exchange on current developments, challenges and future prospects in the rail vehicle industry.
