Robert joined the institute right after finishing his master thesis in which he compared the different approaches in track maintenance followed in Austria and Norway. While continuing the cooperation with the Norwegian infrastructure manager (nowadays Banenor), he set up the first „datawarehouse“ with ÖBB track measurement data at the institute. He finished his PhD thesis on „Predicting the quality behavior of tracks – Statistical analysis of track behavior to create a prediction model “ – in a tandem work with Jochen Holzfeind – in 2009 and left the institue joing TÜV Süd. Now he is responisble for the infrastructure agendas at IKK.
