Ursula began working at the institute as a project assistant in 2021. After one year, she assumed a teaching role as a university assistant. Her teaching activities include railway line design, data analysis methods, and demand-oriented infrastructure development. Her research focuses mainly on vehicle–track interaction and its analytical modelling. A particular emphasis lies on ballast degradation, which is also the subject of her PhD.
