Alex began his career at the institute while still studying civil engineering – infrastructure as a student research assistant. After graduating in 2025, he continued working as a project assistant. His master’s thesis focused on rail wear – a topic that continues to interest him today. As part of his doctoral studies, he is researching the use of fiber optic cables as a new measurement method in railways.
