From 1994 to 1996, Alfred was a teaching and research assistant, in 1997 research assistant at the institute. In addition to supervising students, Alfred was one of the „fathers“ behind the Koralmbahn project when he carried out route studies at the institute. Today, Alfred works for the Province of Styria and is responsible for regional transport concepts, regional mobility plans and the freight transport master plan.
