A field trip to our RCRS partner Siemens Mobility at the Global Centre of Excellence for bogies in Graz Eggenberg.
Accompanied by lecturer Roman Schmid, we were given a tour of the production facilities at the plant by Thomas Penz. This gave the students the opportunity to see the ‘upper section’ of the track guidance system in a wide variety of configurations, ranging from high-speed applications to heavy locomotives.
