Hanna has been working at the institute since the end of 2024 as a student research assistant. Her main focus lies on turnouts. She has a strong interest in vehicle-track interaction and the derivation of track condition indicators based on measurement data. Currently, she is working on her master’s thesis, which aims to characterise the condition of turnout frogs using axle box acceleration data. Through this work, she seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of turnout behaviour and to support data-driven condition assessment approaches.
